Charlie was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Gibraltar, and delighted in sharing his own stories about run ins with Monkeys, and How the people coped with WWII.
$400/person was a lot, but I think we did get to see all the things to see in Gibraltar. The monkeys in particular was a hit: despite warnings of mischiefness, we did see one hiker lose her lunch to a resourceful monkey that jumped on her back, got her day pack open, and make off with her Tupperware containing hard boiled eggs and ham and cheese sandwiches. Fun was had by all.
The tour also gave us reason to return, and perhaps explore the old WWII defenses, the gondola and maybe a weekend craft fair.
We had a fantastic tour in Gibraltar today! Our guide, Ethan, took us up the Rock to see all the main sights, including the famous monkeys. His knowledge of Gibraltar’s history was impressive, and he was incredibly friendly and engaging throughout the tour. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Gibraltar!
